Chateau du Payre's vineyards (Arnaud & Marcuzzi) are located in the areas of Cardan and Rions within Bordeaux. The vineyard has been passed down from mother to daughter for five generations. They have 35 acres of grapes. They grow mostly Merlot grapes.

They also grow Cabernet Sauvignon, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and more. The plot you are currently seeing is of Semillon, used to make sweet wine. The growth grapes, concentrating the sugars. This allows for residual sugars in the wine.

Ground: Clayey-muddy and calcareous ground

Vinification: Harvest stemming from a fragmented selection. Vatting during 3 weeks. Rigorous follow-up of the juices of the various wine temperatures

The analytical: Vol 13,1%, pH 3,72

Maturing: In stainless steel vat for 15 months

Bottling process: In Chateau

Degustation: Beautiful shiny dress, ruby red, complex nose of red berries. Beautiful structure on this young and promising wine. Maturity of this wine before 2020.

Pairing: Savour with a roast veal, red meats and ewes cheeses.
